The Norseman 400 is a 40-foot fiberglass cruising yacht built for offshore passage-making. Designed by Gary Grant, she combines robust construction with refined sailing performance and a thoughtful interior layout. Powered by a Westerbeke diesel engine of 46 horsepower, she cruises at 6 knots and carries a single 46 hp diesel engine.
Below deck, the yacht offers two cabins and one head across a well-organized layout. The forward V-berth includes abundant storage with cabinets, drawers, and a hanging locker. Aft on the starboard side sits a spacious double berth with additional storage and a porthole. The head features a separate stall shower with a plexiglass door, marine toilet, and stainless sink. The galley spans port side with a double sink, stove, oven, and refrigerator with freezer, arranged for both entertaining and cooking underway. The main salon has a U-shaped sky-blue settee with a retractable dining table, wood storage cabinets, and generous stowage beneath and behind the seating.
Natural light and ventilation are abundant throughout. Six and a half feet of headroom, three opening hatches, seven opening ports, four Dorade vents, and two light prisms combine with fixed cabin windows to create an airy interior. Teak sole flooring and factory non-skid decking complete the finish.
The navigation station on the starboard side includes a Raymarine C70 radar and chartplotter, Raymarine Raystar 125 GPS, Icom IC-M502 VHF and IC-M802 SSB radios, an AT-140 tuner, Pactor PTC-II modem, Xantrex battery monitor, and compass. Detailed maintenance records and manuals are on board.
