The President 37 Aft Cabin is a 37-foot fiberglass sedan bridge cruiser built between 1986 and 1988. Powered by three MerCruiser gasoline engines producing 680 horsepower, the boat combines classic styling with practical cruising accommodations. The fiberglass hull features an epoxy-coated bottom with a grid stringer system, backed by a custom aluminum swim platform with SeaDek overlay for durability and ease of maintenance.
The layout centers on two private staterooms. The aft stateroom holds an island queen bed with custom organic cotton mattress and an ensuite head with separate shower. The forward stateroom offers two single berths that convert to a double, plus a forward head and shower. A convertible dinette in the galley provides additional sleeping space. The salon features teak paneling and teak and holly flooring throughout, with a sofa bed, breakfast nook, and fully instrumented lower helm station. The galley is U-shaped with a full-size refrigerator/freezer and electric stove with oven. An expansive aft deck with 2022 canvas enclosure opens to a hardtop, and the fly bridge accommodates eight passengers under full canvas enclosure with Stralaglass panels, also updated in 2022.
The boat is equipped with an Onan 6.5kW generator, Lewmar all-chain windlass, and comprehensive electronics including dual Garmin and Standard Horizon navigation systems with depth sounders and compasses. Power management features a 6kW lithium battery bank paired with 660 watts of solar panels and a full Victron system for charging and power distribution. Recent work includes new engines' impellers and rebuilt carburetors in 2025, replaced main engine crank batteries in 2025, new canvas in 2022, updated antifouling bottom paint in 2022, and waste hose replacement in 2020.
