This 1987 Privateer 22 Roamer is a 22-foot center console built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a single Yamaha 250 hp outboard engine with only 572 hours of operation. The boat underwent a comprehensive ground-up rebuild in 2018 using modern composite materials throughout the stringers, transom, and core, eliminating wood and potential rot concerns while improving strength and reducing weight compared to the original construction.
The boat is outfitted extensively for fishing and family use. It features a 65-gallon bait tank with dual livewell pumps and dual feeds, dual 8-foot Power-Pole anchoring blades, and a Power-Pole trolling motor. Electronics include a Garmin 7610 XSV chartplotter and fishfinder at the lower helm station and a Garmin 943 at the tower helm, along with a Garmin VHF radio. The boat is equipped with a folding tower, trim tabs with newly installed actuators, and a 36-volt Abyss lithium battery system for the electric equipment. A 57-gallon fuel tank supports extended range.
Comfort and protection are addressed with a forward bimini top, tower bimini, motor cover, and console cover. A JBL stereo system and functioning bilge pump round out the installed equipment. The engine recently completed a 300-hour service cycle. A heavy-duty Owens & Sons trailer with brakes is included.
