1987 Santa Cruz 70

This 1987 Santa Cruz 70 is a purpose-built offshore racing yacht with recent upgrades throughout. The boat features a carbon fibre deck, 4-spreader carbon mast and boom, and a Nelson Marek-designed T-keel with high-aspect rudder — equipment selected for speed and control in serious ocean racing conditions.

Recent investments include a custom Harken winch package, B&G H5000 electronics, and an extensive UK Sails inventory with several sails unused. The racing bottom has been recently prepared. A single 80-horsepower Yammer diesel engine provides auxiliary power. The yacht measures 70 feet in length with a 15-foot beam and is built of fiberglass with one head.
