The Standfast 50 is a 49-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built in 1987. Designed and constructed with careful attention to detail, she is equipped for extended cruising. Power comes from a single 100-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engine.
Below deck, the yacht offers two cabins and two heads, providing accommodation for cruising families or small groups. The interior layout supports the boat's mission as a capable ocean-going sailboat.
The yacht has undergone systematic maintenance and upgrading over the past decade. Major work in 2014–2015 included a comprehensive refit. More recently, the gearbox, turbo, and heat exchanger have been renewed, and the Webasto heating system has been overhauled. Throughout 2015–2019, the owner addressed engine systems, electrical infrastructure, sails, safety equipment including a new life raft and EPIRB, battery banks, and interior finishes. Ongoing upkeep has continued through 2023, including battery charger installation and various comfort upgrades.
