This 1987 Viking 48 motor yacht is a three-stateroom, two-head fiberglass cruiser powered by twin Detroit Diesel engines producing 1470 horsepower combined. The boat cruises at 21 knots with a top speed of 24 knots and has logged only 1400 hours since new. The twin engines themselves have fewer than 200 hours on complete rebuilds.
The yacht has undergone extensive customization and upgrades throughout. Notable systems include a Garmin electronics package with radar and plotter, a Robertson autopilot, and a Tracvision satellite dish. The audio-visual system features a Fusion Bluetooth stereo with Bose and JL speakers. A Westerbeke generator provides auxiliary power. Dripless shaft seals were installed in 2019, and a hydraulic swim platform lift was added in 2019.
Accommodations feature the master stateroom with a head including shower and tub, plus a walk-in closet. Two additional staterooms provide guest berths. The aft deck includes a custom wet bar with stainless steel refrigeration and hard enclosure. Interior woodwork is teak throughout. The flybridge includes an EZ2CY enclosure and features Infinity Marine Weave flooring, dual hardtops with custom aft railing, and RGB multicolor LED lighting. The aft deck has faux teak decking and custom furniture. A washer and dryer were replaced in 2024. All chrome fixtures have been re-chromed.
The boat was originally sold by Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales and has remained in freshwater Great Lakes service throughout its life.
