This 1988 Albin 43 is a fiberglass-hulled trawler built around a proven, well-appointed design. Two 135 HP Ford Lehman diesel engines with approximately 2,800 hours provide fuel-efficient cruising at around 9 knots while burning 4.5 gallons per hour total. The naturally aspirated engines feature full instrumentation at both helms and Morse controls, paired with Warner Velvet Drive gearboxes and bronze four-bladed propellers. An 8,000-watt Onan generator with 840 hours rounds out the power plant.
The interior layout centers on a full-beam master stateroom aft with an island queen berth, large hanging lockers, and an ensuite head featuring a soaking tub with shower. Forward is a V-berth guest stateroom with overhead hatch and port lights. The main salon serves as the hub of the boat, with a lower helm station to starboard, U-shaped galley to port, and comfortable seating throughout. A fold-out bar with stools overlooks the galley. The expansive flybridge includes a bimini with full four-sided enclosure and bench seating facing fore and aft.
Navigation and automation include a 12-inch Garmin chartplotter with radar, depth sounder, and autopilot at the upper helm; full engine gauges and controls at both stations; VHF radio; and AIS with transmit and receive. The boat is equipped with a Lofrans Tigress electric windlass with 200 feet of chain, dual anchor systems, 15,000 BTU marine air conditioning, and auxiliary portable AC. Recent upgrades include new refrigerator and freezer with inverter, hot water heater, house battery, LED lighting throughout, and new upholstery. The hull bottom was recently serviced and has a barrier coat applied. A swim platform with davit system and ladder provides tender access.
