This 1988 Carver 42 is a full-featured sedan-bridge motor yacht built in fiberglass. Twin Caterpillar diesel engines producing 750 horsepower provide the power plant. The boat spans 42 feet in length with a 15-foot beam, designed to balance stability with cruising capability.
The enclosed upper helm station offers excellent visibility and seating, with the entire exterior enclosed in new Isenglass and Stamoid installed in 2019. Below, the main salon features a lower helm station and corner couch that converts to a sleeping berth. The galley received updates in 2015, including a new convection microwave and induction cooktop, alongside full-size refrigeration and substantial pantry storage. A dinette seats four and folds down to create an additional bed. Forward cabin accommodates additional berths with a closet and head including shower and freshwater toilet.
The aft cabin is generously sized with a walk-around SleepNumber queen bed, abundant closet and storage space, a vanity, and a full head with freshwater toilet. A second full head serves the forward areas. The main salon includes a 40-inch television and electric fireplace installed in 2019. Below-deck flooring throughout is Infinity, installed in 2012. The aft deck area provides spacious seating for relaxation or entertaining, with drink refrigeration and storage. Engine room access is via the galley stairs.
