1988 C&C MKII

A 1988 C&C MKII, this 30-foot fiberglass sloop combines proven design with solid cruising capability. The hull displaces 8,500 pounds and draws 4 feet 6 inches, managed by a 16-horsepower Yanmar 2GM diesel engine. Hand-laid fiberglass construction throughout the hull and balsa-cored deck provide durability, with a white hull and deck marked by a blue and red boot stripe.

Below deck, the yacht sleeps four across three cabins: a forward V-berth, main cabin settee, and aft cabin for two. The galley features a two-burner alcohol stove and substantial ice box, while the head includes a shower and holding tank. Headroom reaches 6 feet 4 inches throughout. Hot and cold pressure water systems supply the galley and head, the latter newly installed in 2025.

The sails and rigging reflect a well-equipped cruiser. The inventory includes a Doyle Stackpack mainsail, furling Doyle genoa, Mylar jib and main, and both symmetric and asymmetric spinnakers. A Harkin roller furling system and dual-spreader mast head rig support efficient sail handling. The steering wheel connects to roller furling for easy sail management from the cockpit.

Navigation and safety gear are comprehensive: GPS, VHF, autopilot, compass, depth-sounder, log-speedometer, and wind instruments support passage-making. Recent work includes replacement of the electric bilge pump, water pump, hot water system (2023), and marine head (2025). Shore power with air conditioning and heating, battery charger, dual bilge pumps, and a full set of working winches round out the systems.
