1988 CHB Ponderosa Motor Yacht

This 42-foot CHB Ponderosa is a fiberglass motor yacht powered by twin Volvo Penta diesel engines rated at 400 horsepower each. The engines have logged under 1,000 hours. A Kohler 8-kilowatt generator provides auxiliary power. Recent service work includes new bottom paint applied in 2025, engine and generator servicing, battery replacement, and trim tab replacement.

The layout flows from an open salon with new carpet and large opening windows to a down galley equipped with a full suite of appliances and a separate dinette. The accommodations include two staterooms: an aft cabin with a walk-around queen berth and ensuite head with shower, plus abundant storage and a combination washer and dryer; a forward cabin with upper and lower bunks and an adjacent guest head. Entertainment systems including a television and stereo are installed in the main salon.

Topside, dual helm stations provide access to various electronics. The flybridge features new isinglass and canvas work, while a fully enclosed sundeck with hardtop and wet bar offers additional entertaining and lounging space.
