1988 Hunter 28.5

The 1988 Hunter 28.5 is a 28-foot coastal cruiser built in fiberglass with a wide 10'6" beam and designed for straightforward handling. The boat features a B&R rig with a mainsail equipped with a jiffy reef system and a furling genoa headsail. Power comes from a Yarmee 2GM 20 hp diesel engine. The shoal draft keel draws just 4 feet, making the boat accessible to shallow-water cruising grounds.

Below deck, the Hunter offers a roomy interior with 6'2" headroom throughout. The layout includes a large aft cabin and accommodates the typical cruising family with comfortable sleeping and living spaces. The cockpit is generously proportioned with a T-shaped design and walkthrough transom.

The boat is equipped with Raymarine DT60 wind instruments and Raymarine DT60 tri-data instrumentation. The mainsail's jiffy reef system and the furling genoa simplify sail handling for single-handed or shorthanded operation.
