1988 Island Packet 27

This 1988 Island Packet 27 is a fiberglass cruising sailboat built to Island Packet's established standards of quality and seaworthiness. The boat has spent its entire life in freshwater and has benefited from consistent maintenance and proper storage. In 1995 it was repowered with a Yammer 3-cylinder diesel engine producing 24 horsepower, upgrading from the original 18 hp plant and delivering improved performance both under power and under sail.

The deck layout features wide side decks with non-skid surfaces and teak coamings. A full canvas suite includes a bimini, dodger, and connector. The spacious cockpit is outfitted with Garmin and Raymarine navigation instruments. Below deck, warm teak joinery creates a comfortable interior atmosphere. The galley has a stainless steel sink, gimbaled stove, and icebox. A private head provides functional sanitation facilities. The hull design incorporates a full keel for stability and shallow draft, making the boat capable of exploring both Great Lakes and coastal waters.

Recent updates include new batteries installed in 2024 and a rebuilt alternator. The boat comes with a winter cover, stands, fenders, dock lines, anchor, and cockpit cushions.
