This 1988 Stingray Maxim 222 is a 22-foot fiberglass performance boat powered by a single MerCruiser 454 big block engine rated at 330 hp, capable of reaching 72 mph with a cruising speed around 40 mph. The boat has been comprehensively restored, with the exterior refinished in a two-tone red and white scheme with new decals and pinstriping. Teak swim platforms are new, and all original teak trim has been refinished.
The interior underwent complete renovation. The cabin floor was cut out, replaced with marine plywood, and re-fiberglassed throughout. New marine-grade carpet runs bow to stern, and all interior lighting has been replaced. The cuddy cabin, headliner, and cushions were rebuilt. Seating and the sundeck feature entirely new upholstery, and a custom-fitted cockpit cover was fabricated to match the revised layout. All finishes and seat patterns were matched to original 1988 factory specifications.
The engine and drivetrain have been thoroughly serviced. The MerCruiser features approximately 400 original hours. The Bravo outdrive was rebuilt with new bellows, gimbal bearing, and drive seals. New exhaust manifolds and risers, alternator, fuel pump, impeller, belts, and carburetor were installed. The engine and entire drive system have been serviced and are ready for use. The boat has through-hull exhaust.
The package includes a fully refurbished EZ loader trailer with new tires, brakes, LED lights, brake actuator, and new rollers and arms throughout. The boat has been a freshwater boat for its entire life.
