This 1988 Tashiba Cutter was designed by Robert Perry and built by Ta Shing in Taiwan. Hull #173 is a full-keel blue water cruiser with a cut-away forefoot and aft-hung rudder, rigged as a masthead marconi cutter. The yacht carries Pride sails and is powered by a Yanmar 4JH-TE 55 hp diesel engine with approximately 2,765 hours logged between 1993 and spring 2020. A Westerbeke diesel generator is mounted above the main engine.
The boat measures 40 feet in length and is built of fiberglass. It has been actively sailed each summer since 2021, primarily in Rhode Island Sound. A repair to the starboard bow was completed in 2020. The yacht is currently in winter storage and is in good overall condition.
