1988 Viking 48 Convertible

This 1988 Viking 48 Convertible is built on a fiberglass hull with a low-deadrise modified-V design and wide beam suited for offshore fishing and cruising. The boat is powered by twin diesel Detroit 8V92 engines producing 1,470 horsepower total, with fewer than 140 hours on the meters. The starboard engine is new, while the port engine was completely rebuilt with new pistons, turbos, blowers, and jackets. Both transmissions were removed and rebuilt as well. A new Onan generator was installed 705 hours ago.

The interior layout includes a forward master stateroom and guest stateroom, each with private head and shower facilities. The main salon features a leather recliner sofa, and a full galley is equipped with a full-size refrigerator freezer, electric stove, convection oven, microwave, and garbage disposal. A dinette opposite the galley provides additional seating. The boat accommodates two staterooms in the current arrangement; alternate layouts with three staterooms were available as factory options.

The 144-square-foot fishing cockpit is the largest found in flybridge boats of this size and includes two in-deck fish holds, a tackle center, and transom door. Additional equipment includes a Lofrans anchor windlass, newer Simrad electronics with Intellion satellite system, water maker, Magnum inverter, air conditioning, cockpit helm controls, and underwater lights. Fresh water sanitation and bait tank systems are installed. Fuel capacity is 680 gallons, water capacity 200 gallons, and holding capacity 100 gallons. The boat comes with a 2013 Caribe 12-foot RIB tender powered by a 40-horsepower Honda engine.
