The 1989 Bayliner 3288 is a 33-foot fiberglass sedan-bridge motor yacht powered by twin GM 305 gasoline engines. The starboard engine's top end was rebuilt the season prior, and both cylinders have logged minimal hours since their respective work—fewer than 25 hours combined.

The yacht accommodates four adults comfortably or two adults with three to four children. The layout functions as a liveaboard, with sleeping quarters and galley suited to extended cruising or seasonal habitation.
