1989 Bayliner 3888 Motoryacht

This 38-foot Bayliner 3888 is a fiberglass motoryacht built around a practical mid-cabin layout and solid diesel propulsion. Twin Hino 175 hp naturally aspirated diesel engines deliver a cruising speed of 12 knots with a maximum speed around 16 knots. The 13.5-foot beam gives the boat substantial interior volume while remaining manageable in handling.

The accommodations center on a spacious salon with a galley equipped with a three-burner Force-10 stove, oven, SeaFreeze refrigerator with freezer, and microwave. A master stateroom features an island berth, while the guest cabin has a double berth; both cabins have private heads, with one including a tub and shower combination. The flybridge provides commanding sightlines and seating for six, with a Webasto four-zone hydronic diesel heating system and electric backup heaters throughout.

Recent systems updates include new manifold heat exchangers, oil change system, and engine hoses completed in 2022–2023, along with a comprehensive electronics refresh in 2024 featuring a new Garmin chart plotter with AIS, new autopilot, Phantom 18 radar, and dual Garmin VHF radios. An Onan 8 kw generator, Victron 3000w inverter/charger, and new battery bank support extended cruising. Navigation is aided by GPS antenna and the existing Phantom radar with new mount.

The deck and exterior have been thoroughly renewed with new canvas and polycarbonate dodger panels, custom seamless Seadeck in the cockpit, and professionally rebuilt flybridge and swim platform using Coosa board. A fresh bottom paint application and new 40-pound plow anchor with 300 feet of chain complete the refit. An Achilles 11.5-foot RIB tender with 20 hp Honda outboard is included, deployed via a professionally installed SeaWise davit system. Bennett hydraulic trim tabs assist maneuvering.
