The 1989 Formula 35 PC is a solid fiberglass express cruiser built with a deep-V hull featuring prop pockets to reduce draft. At 40 feet long with a 12-foot beam, it represents the largest model in the PC fleet from that era. Twin MerCruiser 7.4L inboard engines with V-drives produce 340 horsepower each and have logged 1,380 hours. The boat features side-discharge exhausts, a transom door, radar arch, and swim platform with integrated ladder. A motorized hatch lift provides access to the engine room, where a 6.5kW Westerbeke generator with 442 hours is installed.
The interior showcases custom cherry wood cabinetry throughout. The forward stateroom contains a centerline island berth, while the mid-cabin steps down to facing settees that convert into a double bed. The galley is U-shaped and well appointed. The cockpit seats six with an L-shaped lounge opposite the helm, foldaway bench seating at the transom, and a swiveling helm bucket seat. Additional cockpit amenities include a wet bar, ice maker, large swim platform-mounted barbecue, and transom shower with hot water.
Recent upgrades include a new 16kW Dometic air-conditioner with reverse cycle heating, new Raymarine 9-inch aSeries touch-screen display, new Raymarine Quantum digital radar, new Standard Horizon VHF radio, new Clarion radio with speakers and amplifiers, and fresh cockpit upholstery. Canvas and the bow sun pad were replaced by Canadian Yacht Tops. A custom stainless steel holding tank was built, and carburetors were rebuilt. Navigation instruments, hydraulic steering with trim tabs, and docking lights support operation, while a 10kg plow anchor with Maxwell windlass and 200 feet of chain are aboard. Fuel capacity is 275 gallons; water tankage is 60 gallons.
