1989 Mako 260 Walk Around

This 1989 Mako 260 Walk Around is a 27-foot fiberglass sportfisher powered by twin Mercury engines producing 450 horsepower total. The boat cruises at 28 knots with a top speed of 42 knots. Its open layout features a bow bench seat and substantial deck space suited for offshore fishing or family outings, with ample shade protection.

The boat underwent significant structural work in 2016, when the transom and aft section were rebuilt using a cold-molded fir transom paired with a custom Armstrong bracket. The aft deck was leveled to create continuous working space, with large bilge access for serviceability. Fuel filters were relocated and internalized for a cleaner installation.

In 2019, the engines were replaced with twin Mercury 225 DTS models, and the fuel system was upgraded with a 3/16-inch aluminum tank. A three-sided strato-glass enclosure was added at that time. As of early 2026, a 300-hour service has been completed and new AGM batteries installed.
