The 1989 Ocean Yachts 55 Super Sport is a fiberglass sportfish powered by twin Detroit diesel engines producing 1,500 horsepower combined. At nearly 56 feet in length with a 16-foot beam, she delivers the performance and seakeeping qualities Ocean Yachts built into this classic design.
Recent work includes new Garmin navigation electronics, a fresh stereo system with two new televisions, new macerator and bilge pumps, and a new head. The interior has been refreshed with new carpet throughout. Engine fuel injectors were replaced while the power plants themselves remain otherwise untouched. Hull maintenance included sandblasting followed by three coats of barrier coat, with bottom paint applied last year.
New antennas have been installed for reliable communication. The boat was winterized and stored ashore during the off-season, then professionally de-winterized and launched ready for use.
