1990 Catalina Capri 26

This 1990 Catalina Capri 26 is a fiberglass sloop designed for accessible, hands-on sailing. At 26 feet overall with a 9'10" beam and 4'10" draft, she combines manageable size with genuine cruising capability. The boat carries a Tohatsu 9.8-horsepower 4-stroke outboard (2012 model) with both electric and manual starting, paired with a 3-gallon portable fuel tank.

The layout centers on ease of handling and living space. Forward is an open salon with V-berth and storage. The centerline cabin features a drop-leaf table that converts into an additional berth, while the aft section offers a full-beam athwartships sleeping area. The galley sits to starboard with foot-pump sink, ice box, and good counter space. An enclosed head to port contains a manual Jabsco toilet, pump sink, and holding tank. A 16-gallon fresh water tank provides onboard reserves.

Rigging and sail handling are configured for single-handed operation, with all lines led aft to the cockpit. Four Lewmar 16 self-tailing winches assist sail trimming. The sloop carries two mainsails, a 130% genoa on CDI roller furling, and an Ullman asymmetrical spinnaker with sock. Single-line reefing, an aluminum deck-stepped mast with compression post, and a fin keel complete the sailing setup. Two tiller pilots (Raymarine ST1000 and Autohelm) provide autopilot redundancy.

Electrical systems include dual West Marine 79Ah AGM batteries, a ProNautic 12-20P charger, and 110V shore power capability. Navigation electronics comprise a Raytheon Ray201 VHF, bulkhead compass, depth sounder, and knot meter. An open transom with stainless steel swim ladder, custom cockpit cushions, anchor with bow roller, and rod holders round out the deck. An older Avon inflatable dinghy is included.
