The Capri 26 is a 26-foot fiberglass keelboat built to balance trailerable size with family cruising comfort. The hull features a walk-through reverse transom, internally mounted spade rudder on a tiller, and an optional shoal-draft fixed wing keel drawing 3 feet 5 inches. An outboard Yamaha 9.9 hp four-stroke gasoline engine handles docking and maneuvering, supported by a 6-gallon fuel tank and 15-gallon freshwater tank. The design displaces 5,100 pounds with 1,750 pounds of ballast and achieves a hull speed of 6.4 knots.
Accommodation includes a main cabin with two straight settees that join over a drop-leaf table, plus a generously sized double berth in the aft cabin beneath the cockpit. Headroom throughout reaches 73 inches. The galley on the starboard side is fitted with a two-burner alcohol stove, icebox, and sink with water supply. The head sits on the port side just aft of the companionway. Four opening ports in the main cabin and one in the cockpit provide ventilation throughout.
The boat carries a fully battened mainsail with cover and a new 135 roller-furling genoa on a CDI Flexi-Furl system. Equipment includes two 12-volt batteries, AC/DC distribution panel, 110-volt shore power with battery charger, interior and navigation lights, cockpit cushions, bimini, swim ladder, dock lines, fenders, boat hook, anchor and rode, and throwable. The hull is painted blue anti-fouling. A steel cradle is included.
