1990 Freedom 38

The Freedom 38 is a distinctive sailing yacht built around an unstayed carbon fiber mast—a design choice that eliminates traditional rigging clutter, streamlines the deck, and simplifies both maintenance and sail handling. This configuration makes her equally capable for coastal cruising or offshore passages and particularly well-suited to single-handed operation.

The boat is equipped for independent sailing with a Raymarine autohelm and a Harken electric winch controlling the main, self-tacking jib, and all reefing lines. Power comes from a Yanmar 3YM30AE diesel engine, recently installed and professionally maintained. The yacht has undergone continuous upgrades throughout her service life.

Built with a fiberglass hull, the Freedom 38 measures 38 feet in length with a 12.98-foot beam, offering a capable platform for extended cruising. The boat was sailed seasonally and has been maintained by a dedicated owner.
