1990 Gold Coast 40
About This Yacht
The Gold Coast 40 is a 40-foot surface-piercing catamaran built with a wood hull and fiberglass-reinforced plastic skin. The boat measures 14 feet 6 inches across the beam and is powered by twin Yamaha gasoline outboards installed in 2023, each running approximately 900 hours. The hull is finished in white with a dark greenish boot stripe. Hydraulic steering and remote-mounted fuel filtration support responsive handling and reliable operation.
A comprehensive refit completed in 2023 rebuilt the propulsion, fuel, electrical, and structural systems throughout the boat. The fuel system includes dual 35-gallon aluminum tanks for a total capacity of 70 gallons. Battery power is supplied by a lead acid system. A Fortress anchor is included. The bilge and compartments are in good condition, and the boat was hauled out and surveyed in March and May 2026.
The open deck layout provides spacious accommodation, with rated capacity for three crew members and design capability for passenger operations. Commercial certification has been maintained, reflecting the boat's history as a licensed water taxi. The boat is ready for immediate use in either commercial or private service.
