1990 Jeanneau Sun Magic 44

The 1990 Jeanneau Sun Magic 44 is a performance racer/cruiser built with a Kevlar-reinforced fiberglass hull designed for strength and light weight. As the final independent Jeanneau production model before the company's acquisition, this yacht represents the last of the builder's true racer/cruiser line and is recognized as one of the brand's most iconic designs.

The boat accommodates three double staterooms, two heads, and a shower cabin with sink. Below deck, the layout combines cruising comfort with performance sailing capability, typical of this era's dual-purpose designs.

Recent work includes substantial structural and systems updates: the keel was stripped to bare metal and epoxied in 2021, original decks were removed and rebuilt with new coring, fiberglass, and non-skid in 2023, and new toe rails were installed in 2024. The dodger, bimini, companionway hatch, and center salon hatch were all replaced in 2024. The yacht is equipped with in-mast furling, new roller furling headsail, bow thruster, Autohelm 6000 autopilot, radar/chartplotter, and newer wind, depth, and speed instruments. Through-hulls were upgraded in 2021.

The single Yanmar diesel engine produces 50 hp and delivers a cruising speed of 7 knots with a maximum speed of 8.5 knots. The yacht measures 44 feet in length with a 13.75-foot beam.
