This 1990 Nova 4500 is a 45-foot fiberglass pilothouse designed for serious cruising. Twin MAN diesel engines producing 1,200 horsepower deliver a cruising speed of 18.25 knots, while trim tabs aid in handling. The yacht carries substantial construction quality comparable to much larger production models.
The layout includes three staterooms and two heads arranged for comfortable extended voyages. A bow thruster and three distinct operating stations—flybridge, pilothouse, and cockpit—provide flexibility in boat handling and watch-keeping. The pilothouse design offers protected helm operations in varied weather.
The boat has received significant upgrades over its service life. An Alexseal painted hull, Northern Lights 5kw generator, Wallas diesel furnace, and Dickinson propane stove, oven, and fireplace heater support year-round operation. Additional systems include a new autopilot pump, battery charger, defrost capability, and swim grid. Shore power connections accommodate both 30-amp and 50-amp 120/240-volt inputs. Aft canvas and dinghy chocks complete the equipped package.
