1990 X-Yachts X-452

This 1990 X-Yachts X-452 is a 45-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat distinguished by refined teak woodwork and custom interiors throughout. Powered by a 63-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine with a three-blade MAX PROP propeller, the yacht carries a compass bow thruster installed in 2024. The extensive sail plan includes a North Sails main and jib, racing and cruising configurations, spinnaker, and multiple headsails. Eight Lewmar winches and full deck hardware support active sailing.

The layout comprises a forward master cabin with en-suite head, an aft cabin with twin berths, and a second head with shower. The open saloon features a convertible dinette with spacious seating, port galley with L-shaped layout, and starboard chart table. The galley includes a three-burner cooktop, gas oven, microwave, three sinks with seawater and freshwater pumps, and refrigeration. All lighting throughout is LED.

Navigation and electronics include VHF radio, two chartplotters, three Garmin multifunction displays, dual echo sounders, AUTOHELM 6000 autopilot, and AIS receiver. Power systems comprise dual service batteries and engine battery (renewed 2023), with an inverter, QUICK charger, and 80-amp alternator. Additional systems include electric toilets, hot water heating, bilge and shower pumps, and an autoclave.

The hull underwent complete anti-osmosis treatment in 2020 and last antifouling in August 2023. In 2019, the teak cockpit and foredeck were fully rebuilt. A one-piece Cariboni mast was repainted in 2018, with rigging overhauled and certified. Recent updates include new running rigging, anchor windlass, 70-meter chain, and Delta anchor in 2024. The engine receives biennial overhauls; major components including axle seals, rudder system, and spreaders have been replaced or serviced over the years.
