The Colombo Aliante 32 is a 1991 convertible built in fiberglass, defined by restrained, clean lines and an uncluttered deck. Distinctive design features include tapered air intakes serving the engine compartment and a wraparound windshield seamlessly integrated into the hull. Twin Mercury Mercruiser gasoline engines produce 560 horsepower, delivering a cruising speed of 27 knots and a top speed of 35 knots. The boat performs well as a day cruiser and is suitable for water skiing.
The layout provides accommodation for two. Entry to the cockpit is through an aft platform, where a comfortable sunbathing area sits ahead of an L-shaped sofa. Moving forward, the wheelhouse is positioned to starboard with a pilot's seat. Below deck are a V-shaped forward berth and a functional marine head.
The boat underwent significant refitting in 2015. Work included replacement of teak in the cockpit, stern platform, and below-deck areas; new L-shaped sofa cushions and three new sun-deck cushions; an anchor winch, battery switch, and engine throttle controls; Bluetooth radio with Bose speakers; an autoclave; fire extinguishers in the engine compartment; engine compartment ventilation fan and spotlights; tank flotation devices; engine removal with complete engine-compartment rebuild; starter motors; and full engine overhaul. The boat has been winterized annually in a shipyard and operated only in fresh water.
