This 1991 Mulder Favorite Superieur 54 is a steel-hulled motor yacht built to classic proportions, measuring 54 feet in length with a 15-foot beam. Twin Volvo Penta diesel engines, each producing 202 horsepower, drive the boat to a cruising speed of 10 knots on fuel consumption of 50–60 liters per hour. The steel hull, approximately 6 mm thick, features traditional round-bilge construction with a mahogany wheelhouse. A 2,000-liter fuel capacity supports extended cruising, while water systems include 750 liters fresh water, 650 liters grey water, and 800 liters black water capacity.
The yacht accommodates four cabins—three guest cabins plus a captain's cabin added during a 2018 refit—with two heads and shower facilities. The galley is fully equipped with three refrigerators, a freezer, microwave, oven, stove, and dishwasher. A watermaker produces 180 liters per hour. Comfort systems include independent air conditioning, diesel heating, a water heater, and a washing machine.
A comprehensive 2018 refit overhauled the boat's electrical and mechanical systems. The generator (15 kW Fischer Panda installed that year) works alongside dual battery chargers totaling 5,000 watts and two 5,000-watt inverters; eight batteries support engines, bow thruster, and hotel loads. A full electrical rewire, new seacocks, injector and alternator replacement, and fresh anti-fouling added approximately 1.5 knots to the boat's performance. The navigation suite includes a chartplotter, radar, VHF radio, echo sounder, autopilot with remote control, and depth sounder. On deck, teak flooring, a hydraulic gangway, swim platform rated for 350 kilograms, underwater lights, and stainless steel hardware reflect the modern upgrades. The 45-kilogram anchor is backed by 105 meters of stainless G60 chain with hydraulic windlass.
