This 1991 Pacemaker 37 Sportfisherman is a fiberglass sportfish boat built for serious offshore fishing. Twin Cummins 6CTA 450 diesel engines deliver 900 total horsepower, pushing the boat to a maximum speed of 31 knots with a cruising speed of 23 knots and a range of approximately 350 miles. The 37-foot length and 14-foot beam provide a wide platform with an expansive cockpit, supported by a displacement hull design for stability in open water.
The boat carries comprehensive fishing and navigation electronics: three Garmin displays, AIS, open array radar, and three VHF radios with two new antennas. Additional systems include an Onan 7.5-kilowatt generator, air conditioning and heating, 31-foot lee outriggers, and a custom cockpit rocket launcher. An eight-person commercial offshore life raft is aboard, repacked in 2025.
Recent work includes new 2009 Cummins engines and transmissions installed in 2023, along with updated electronics and navigation gear that same year. Interior updates through 2024 cover the battery charger, dripless shaft seals, salon and forward stateroom carpet, cockpit bolster, helm chair upholstery, forward stateroom mattress, and an updated toilet. The boat is rigged and equipped for extended canyon and offshore operations.
