The 1992 Corsair 4200 is a 42-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by twin Perkins diesel engines producing 240 horsepower each. Built to order for its original owners, this boat combines serious offshore capability with comfortable family cruising accommodations. The hull and deck construction uses fiberglass with balsa core, resulting in a lighter and stronger structure. The design stems from proven Uniflite hull lines refined through the 1990s, and Corsairs are known for capable performance in challenging conditions, cruising waters from Puget Sound to Alaska and the British Columbia coast.
The interior features old-growth teak throughout with quality joinery and a teak parquet cabin sole in excellent condition. The open salon connects to a large, hotel-quality wash room. The aft cabin can be opened into a spacious suite, and the forward cabin includes a V-berth with private head. An electric wheelchair lift from the aft deck provides access to the salon, with the layout designed for single-deck living. An enclosed flybridge and large sundeck on the cabin top extend outdoor space.
Power delivery suits extended cruising, with a typical cruising speed of 8–10 knots and a maximum speed around 15 knots. Fuel consumption runs 6–7 gallons per hour at cruising speed. Engine hours are 3,341 and 3,339 respectively. A 5-kilowatt Onan generator provides shore power independence, supported by twin battery chargers for house and start banks. All fittings and furnishings remain in excellent condition.
