This 41-foot custom ketch was designed by Bruce King for himself and built using traditional cold-molded construction in Port Orford Cedar by master shipwright Jim McClelland. The composite hull combines classic craftsmanship with modern performance features including a fin keel, spade rudder with skeg, and a Yanmar diesel engine of 47 horsepower. The boat carries new main and genoa sails and was recently refinished, with exterior brightwork and teak decks meticulously restored.
The interior features well-planned accommodations with superb cabinetry completed by Jespersen Boat Builders. Two heads are aboard, providing practical facilities for extended cruising or living aboard. The design balances elegance with functionality throughout.
Recently hauled and stored in a heated shop for winter, the yacht has undergone careful exterior restoration. A 2020 survey noted exceptional execution of the design with high-quality construction that shows minimal signs of age, confirming the durability of both the hull and interior joinery.
