1992 Hatteras 40 Motor Yacht

This 1992 Hatteras 40 Motor Yacht is built on a modified V-hull with fiberglass construction. Power comes from a single Caterpillar V8 3208TA diesel engine rated at 425 hp and turning approximately 1500 hours. The engine cruises efficiently at 8 knots between 1200 and 1400 rpm. An 8KW Onan diesel generator provides auxiliary power. The yacht measures 40 feet 10 inches overall with a 13-foot 7-inch beam and 4-foot 9-inch draft, displacing 38,000 pounds. Fuel capacity stands at 359 gallons with 110 gallons of freshwater.

Accommodations include two staterooms and two heads. The forward cabin holds two single bunks; the aft cabin features a queen bed. The galley is fitted with an electric two-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator. Both heads are equipped with electric Vacu-flush toilets. A water maker produces 40 gallons per hour.

The boat carries modern electronics: a Raymarine Hybrid-touch 9-inch GPS, a new Garmin 7-inch GPS preloaded with Bahamas charts, a Raymarine autopilot, and VHF radio. Three flat-screen displays and a Starlink satellite system are installed. The flybridge and aft section have new Eisenglass enclosures. A Maxwell anchor windlass was installed new in 2023. Additional features include a 110-volt deep-freeze box, large storage locker, two aft couches, and a Magma grill. The bottom was painted in August 2024.

A Highfield 11-foot aluminum RIB with a Tohatsu 20 four-stroke outboard is included.
