The 1992 Hunter Passage 42 is a fiberglass sailing yacht built for extended cruising. At 42 feet in length with a 14-foot beam, she combines seaworthiness with comfortable accommodations for ocean passages. The boat has logged extensive miles across bluewater routes, including Hawaii, the Panama Canal, the Caribbean, and the U.S. East Coast from Maine to the Dry Tortugas.
Power comes from a Yanmar 4JH2-TE diesel engine with 710 hours on the rebuilt unit as of 2024. A generator and 600 watts of solar panels support off-grid operation. An electric windlass, Harken roller furling system, and lazy-jack mainsail handling round out the deck features. The fully enclosed cockpit offers weather protection underway.
The interior holds two staterooms and two heads, with updated Ultraleather upholstery throughout. The galley is fully equipped, and air conditioning provides cooling in warm climates. A dinghy with outboard is included. The yacht carries a comprehensive electronics package from Garmin and is fitted with a water maker for self-sufficiency on extended voyages.
