The 1993 Catalina Morgan 381 is a 38-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by a Westerbeke 38 BC-4 inboard engine rated at 38 horsepower, with 4,200 hours logged. The design packs two cabins and two heads into a layout comparable to much larger boats, making efficient use of its 12-foot beam for comfortable cruising.
The main salon features 6 feet 5 inches of headroom throughout the cabin. To port is a large L-shaped settee with a removable oval teak dinette table that converts into a double berth. Starboard holds two upholstered seats with a center table and the navigation station with a swing-out seat. Storage runs above and below the seating with cabinets and shelving. The sole is laid in teak and holly, with teak interior and matching woodwork completing the cabin. A galley sits in the passageway aft, fitted with a deep double stainless-steel sink, two-burner stove and oven, and both cold and dry storage.
Forward to port, the forward head has a manual flush marine toilet and pull-out faucet sink for showering. The forward cabin opens beyond it, offering a queen V-berth with filler cushion, a hanging locker to starboard, and two overhead hatches. The master stateroom aft features a centerline pedestal queen-size berth with cushioned benches on either side, port and starboard hanging lockers, and an ensuite head with separate shower stall. An 8,000 BTU reverse-cycle air-conditioning unit provides climate control. Multiple drawers and lockers throughout the stateroom provide additional storage.
