1993 Gold Coast fast ferry

This 60-foot Gold Coast fast ferry is a composite catamaran built in the United States for inter-island service. Twin diesel IVECO engines producing 1,240 horsepower drive the boat to a maximum speed of 28 knots, with a cruising speed of 24 knots. The twin-hull design provides exceptional stability and ride comfort, particularly in rough water conditions where the catamaran configuration outperforms comparable monohull ferries.

The layout includes a single head with handicap accessibility and an open-plan bar area for passenger use. The boat has undergone comprehensive refit work including new engines, new generators, and a renewed interior. The beam of 23 feet accommodates the wide, stable platform characteristic of catamaran construction.
