1993 Hunter 33.5

The 1993 Hunter 33.5 is a fiberglass sailing yacht 33.5 feet long with an 11-foot beam. Powered by a Yanmar 3GM30F diesel engine producing 27 horsepower, she draws shallow water and handles well under sail or power. The hull features a bulb wing keel and carries a large sail plan, making her responsive and easy to single-hand. Deck layout includes wide side decks, inboard shrouds, and coach roof-mounted handrails for safe movement fore and aft. A deep anchor locker with electric windlass sits on the bow, and all lines lead aft to self-tailing winches mounted on the coaming.

Below decks, the 33.5 offers bright, spacious accommodations with 6 feet 5 inches of headroom throughout. The interior features a welcoming layout with abundant natural light and teak woodwork. The main salon contains a U-shaped dinette with convertible table and settee, with the navigation station positioned at the aft end of the port settee. Forward of the salon are the head and vanity. The private forward cabin has a large V berth with storage and overhead hatch. The aft owner's cabin features an athwartship double berth, storage, and privacy door. The galley is fully equipped with a two-burner alcohol stove, refrigerated ice box, and generous cabinetry. Fuel capacity is 24 gallons, fresh water 56 gallons, and holding 25 gallons. The boat sleeps seven adults comfortably across all berths and convertible seating.

Recent upgrades and maintenance include new diesel injectors, o-rings, and copper seals installed in May 2023, with exhaust elbow and hose replaced the following month. A Maxwell windlass was installed in June 2024 with dual controls. New sails—mainsail, genoa, and mack pack with upgraded cloth and two reefs—were installed in April 2022. Additional systems include a Standard Horizon GX2200 VHF with AIS display, solar panel, 12,000 BTU air conditioning unit, refrigeration system, battery monitor, and Digital Yacht NavLink interface. A West Marine soft bottom dinghy and ePropulsion outboard motor with batteries were added in 2022 and 2024 respectively. Lifelines were replaced in May 2022 with Dynema line, and standing rigging was inspected and tuned in February 2025.
