1993 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36

The 1993 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36 is a three-cabin cruising sailboat built in fiberglass. Measuring 35 feet in length with a 12-foot beam, she is configured as a sloop with roller-furling mast and carries a working wardrobe including mainsail, jib, spinnaker, storm jib, and foresail. The deck layout brings all control lines aft to the cockpit, where four Harken winches manage the running rigging. A boom brake was installed in 2024. The teak cockpit includes a table, exterior cushions, and access to two aft lockers. An electric windlass handles ground tackle—two complete anchor systems with 60-meter scope each.

The interior offers three double cabins with hanging lockers and stowage throughout, plus one head with toilet and shower, and a second head with sink and shower. The main cabin features a C-shaped settee with new covers as of 2024, and the galley is equipped with refrigeration, a two-burner stove with oven, double sink, and generous counter and storage space. Cabin heating is provided by a Webasto system with new burner. A 30-liter hot water tank supplies the head and shower. Countless net storage pockets line the interior.

Power comes from a Yanmar 3GM30F diesel engine of 27 horsepower. The cooling circuit was fully serviced in October 2024, and the sea-water pump and coolant pump are new. The engine shaft seal and stuffing box were replaced in September 2025, and an alternator was recently fitted. The 150-liter fuel tank is supported by a dedicated 70-ampere starting battery. A two-blade propeller with rope cutter is fitted.

Electrical systems include two 110-ampere AGM batteries installed in 2024, 200 watts of solar panels, an Aérogen 4 wind generator with spare blades, and a Victron battery monitor. Navigation electronics comprise a Raymarine EV-100 autopilot from 2021, a JRC 1000 radar, a Navicom VHF transceiver and AIS unit both replaced in 2023, and a new portable VHF radio. A new compass, anemometer, and masthead wind vane complete the suite. Starlink connectivity is installed with 12/48-volt conversion. All interior and navigation lighting is LED. Additional systems include a Dolphin 25-ampere shore charger, 300-watt 12/220-volt converter, and a new hi-fi system with exterior speakers. A new life raft was purchased in 2024, along with safety lines, horseshoe buoy with self-righting light, EPIRB, and crew harnesses. A tender—a new Plastimo 260 inflatable with overhauled Yamaha 2.5-horsepower motor—is included, along with a davit frame fitted in July 2024.
