1994 Grand Banks 42 Classic

The 1994 Grand Banks 42 Classic is a fiberglass-hulled motor yacht built on the refined design Grand Banks introduced in 1991, which added an extra foot of length and beam for increased interior space. Powered by twin Caterpillar 3116 diesel engines producing 600 hp with 2,345 hours, the boat combines the hull form the brand is known for—long keel, hard chines, and deep forefoot—with efficient, economical cruising capability. An 8 kW Westerbeke generator with low hours supports onboard systems and a three-zone central air conditioning and heating system with remote compressor units.

The layout centers around two staterooms. The aft cabin features a full-size centerline queen berth in the master stateroom, while forward is a large convertible V-berth in the guest cabin. Both staterooms have private en suite heads with showers; all heads are electric and use freshwater. Non-skid fiberglass decks simplify maintenance.

Recent upgrades and maintenance include a new 9-foot Highfield RIB tender with 15 hp Yamaha outboard, winch and lifting system, new canvas and eisenglass, a serviced seacock system, a completely renewed sanitation system with electric toilets, and a new swim platform. The boat is enrolled in annual engine and varnish maintenance programs.
