1994 Nauticat 38

The Nauticat 38 is a Finnish-built cruising ketch from 1994, constructed by Siltala Yachts. At nearly 39 feet with an 11-metre beam, she combines seaworthy design with comfortable cruising capabilities. The boat is powered by a single Yanmar diesel engine, upgraded to 110 hp in 2013 and running approximately 1,100 hours.

The accommodation comprises two cabins with a convertible saloon that sleeps seven. Two heads are fitted, each with shower and toilet; one operates on electric power. Water capacity totals 400 litres across the tanks, with 600 litres of diesel fuel storage split between two tanks. A ketch rig carries furling mainsail, genoa, and mizzen, offering traditional sailing and flexible sail plan options.

Navigation and safety systems include log, depth sounder, anemometer, radar, GPS plotter, VHF, Navtex, and autopilot. Electrical systems comprise a 60-amp charger, 3,000-watt inverter, and two 110-watt solar panels. The boat carries a windlass with remote control, an anchor with 90 metres of chain, and a liferaft. A bow thruster with remote control is installed. Reversible air conditioning provides climate control. Onboard amenities include a CD radio, cockpit table and cushioned benches, and a Bimini with winter cover fitted in November 2023. A new tender and Torqeedo electric outboard motor were added in August 2023.
