A 1994 Royal Dolvik 32 Runabout built from mahogany using the cold-moulding technique. This 31.5-foot runabout features twin Mercruiser diesel engines rated at 220 hp each with Z-drive, delivering approximately 40 knots and exceptional maneuverability. The Z-drive configuration keeps the engines well aft, opening up the cockpit space and allowing the boat to maintain minimal draft.
The cockpit accommodates 6 to 8 people, with the U-shaped seating convertible into a sleeping berth with minimal effort. The space includes an onboard refrigerator and sink. Below deck sits a V-berth, marine head, forward shower, and substantial stowage. Additional features include a stainless steel windscreen frame, electric windscreen wipers, searchlight with remote control, Bimini top, canvas canopy, full weather cover, water heater, electric toilet, water ski tow hook, flag pole, and handrails across the engine hatches. Four portholes line the hull.
The hull employs epoxy-impregnated marine plywood sheathing over the frame, reinforced with glass-fibre and Kevlar matting, then sealed with multiple layers of epoxy and polyurethane for durability and UV protection. This construction resists salt deterioration and ages gracefully with maintenance equivalent to fibreglass boats. The starboard engine was replaced following an earlier failure, and the underwater hull was rebuilt. The cockpit upholstery was recently renewed in beige. All fittings—bronze, brass, chrome, stainless steel, teak, and mahogany—reflect Norwegian boatbuilding craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout.
