The 1994 Sabre 362 is a 36-foot fiberglass sailing yacht designed by Jim Taylor and built in Southampton, Maine. Powered by a Westerbeke 35-horsepower diesel engine with 950 total hours, the boat features a keel-stepped aluminum mast with in-mast furling and a comprehensive B&G electronics suite including radar, GPS plotter, depth/speed instrumentation, and wireless wind data. A Brunton Sigma Drive provides efficient propulsion, and the boat carries a substantial ground tackle setup including a Simpson Lawrence windlass with 300 feet of chain and 200 feet of rope.
Below decks, the two-cabin layout offers practical cruising accommodations. The forward V-berth cabin includes generous storage, while the main saloon features an L-shaped dinette to starboard and a port settee with the navigation table positioned aft. A separate head with shower stall sits to port, and the starboard quarter-berth cabin provides a large double berth with hanging locker. The galley on the starboard side contains a double stainless steel sink, ample counter space, and a stove with oven.
Recent work includes a full hull inspection with the bottom soda-blasted in December 2023, faired, and treated with barrier coat epoxy and antifouling paint applied in May 2024. The transom was stripped, faired, primed, and finished with three coats of Alexseal topcoat. The keel was refaired with bolts retorqued, and the rudder bearing inspected. Engine service included injector work, valve replacement, head retorquing, thermostat and hose renewal, and new primary fuel filter; batteries and charging systems were upgraded with new AGM units and a Victron charger.
Deck upgrades encompass new stainless steel lifelines with Blackline finish, Lewmar folding wheel, Rocna 15-kilogram anchor, and reconditioned winches. The teak toe rail was stripped and refinished with seven coats of Epiphanes. A new Bimini and Dodger with Sunbrella canvas were fitted along with updated mast-head and deck lighting. An eight-foot AB aluminum RIB with Suzuki outboard is carried on stainless davits. Sails include a furling mainsail with spare main and a 140 percent Genoa with new UV band.
