The 1994 Sabre 362 is a 36-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by the Sabre Design Team in collaboration with Jim Taylor Yacht Design, earning Cruising World Boat of the Year recognition. Built with a winged keel and a long waterline, this yacht combines shallow draft with the speed of a much larger vessel. The design proves easily managed by two sailors or single-handed, yet capable of both coastal cruising and competitive performance under sail. A dark blue Awlgrip hull and off-white deck define the exterior finish.
Below decks, accommodations sleep seven across two separate cabins—a forward owner's stateroom with a large v-berth and a spacious aft cabin. The main salon features settee berths on both sides, a teak and holly sole, and a fold-down teak dining table. The full-width aft head includes a separate shower stall and corian counter. Throughout, 6'4" of headroom, varnished cherry joinerwork, new brass LED fixtures, and quality finishes create an inviting interior. Both cabins provide ample cedar-lined storage and opening ports for ventilation.
The deck layout prioritizes comfort and security, with a well-organized rig featuring a double-spreader Hall spar, Harken Mk IV roller furler, and a rebuilt Navtec hydraulic split backstay. A completely rebuilt Westerbeke 35B diesel from 2022 (250 hours since rebuild) drives the boat at 7 knots under power, backed by a rebuilt ZF-10M transmission and a new PSS shaft seal. A 100-amp Powermax alternator with Balmar regulator provides robust charging capacity.
Over the past three years, the yacht has undergone a comprehensive bow-to-stern refit including new Quantum sails, rebuilt engine-driven Sea Frost refrigeration with an integral freezer, a modern NMEA 2000 navigation system with B&G displays, new deck hatches, LED lighting throughout, fresh batteries, and numerous mechanical upgrades. The rig, sails, rigging controls, and systems reflect meticulous maintenance and modernization. A custom-built cradle and complete winter cover accompany the boat.
