1995 Bertram 30 Moppie

The 1995 Bertram 30 is a deep-V fiberglass express fisherman powered by twin Cummins 5.9L diesel engines with approximately 1400 hours of running time. Built to handle offshore conditions, this boat combines rugged construction with a timeless design suited equally to cruising and fishing. The hull and systems have been maintained throughout decades of operation on the Chesapeake Bay.

Accommodations include sleeping space for four—a forward double berth and a convertible dinette—along with a galley on the starboard side outfitted with a microwave, electric stove, and AC/DC refrigerator-freezer. The head features a Raritan electric flush marine toilet, handheld shower, and a 30-gallon holding tank.

The boat carries a full suite of electronics: Ritchie compass, VHF radio, Furuno GPS/chartplotter with autopilot, tachometers, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with TV and DVD player. Deck features include an electric windlass with helm control, Danforth anchor, fresh and saltwater washdowns, livewell with tackle center, rod holders, swim platform and ladder, and a cockpit fitted with sink, wet bar, and full cover. A bimini top with enclosure provides weather protection.

Recent work includes replacement of the port engine exhaust manifold and turbo, new batteries and battery box, fuel separators, engine impellers, marine toilet, engine hoses, and generator installation. Both shafts have been repacked and propellers reconditioned. Additional systems include reverse-cycle air conditioning and heat, water heater, Bennett trim tabs, halogen lighting throughout, three automatic bilge pumps, and an automatic fire suppression system. Spare parts and safety equipment are on board.
