1995 Catalina 36 MkII

The 1995 Catalina 36 MkII is a proven cruising sailboat known for responsive handling and flexible accommodation. With a fiberglass hull 36 feet long and a beam of nearly 12 feet, she balances performance with stability. The Universal diesel engine produces 35 horsepower and has been re-manufactured with 124 hours on it as of 2017. The boat handles well single-handed or with a crew and is equally at home with just a couple aboard or entertaining guests.

Two private cabins and one head provide comfortable sleeping and bathroom facilities. The galley includes a microwave and a custom backsplash. Refrigeration is managed by a complete Frigoboat system installed in 2018. The boat carries a reverse cycle heat and air conditioning unit fitted in 2020, with warranty coverage through 2025.

Over recent years, the boat has received substantial upgrades and maintenance. Engine work includes new mounts and cutlass bearing replaced in 2025. A new fuel tank and sending unit were fitted in 2018, along with a re-manufactured engine thermostat. All house batteries were replaced in 2020, as was the secondary battery charger and both shore power outlets. The electrical system includes a main breaker panel rewired to ABYC standards in 2018.

Deck and cabin systems have been refreshed throughout. A Mack Pack reefing system with canvas-matched cover was installed in 2019, supported by new cockpit canvas including bimini and dodger in 2018. New cockpit flying seat cushions, fender baskets, and privacy closures across most portlights enhance comfort and functionality. Navigation electronics include a Garmin Panoptix thru-hull sonar transducer, Garmin GPSMap XS plotter, Raymarine wind and tridata displays, and Standard Horizon VHF with cockpit remote. The hull was re-striped and repainted in 2019, with starboard deck core and fiberglass repairs completed that same year.
