1995 Fountaine Pajot Athena 38

This 1995 Fountaine Pajot Athena 38 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended offshore cruising. Twin Yanmar diesel engines of 72 horsepower each deliver a cruising speed of 6 knots with a maximum speed of 8 knots. The beam of 20.67 feet provides the beam stability characteristic of the design, while the overall length of 38 feet offers practical accommodations for extended passagemaking.

The yacht accommodates three cabins and two heads. Interior upgrades include new saloon cushions, updated countertops, and new flooring throughout. A Schenker Zen 30 watermaker supports extended cruising, while the galley features upgraded refrigeration and additional freezer capacity. Plumbing systems have been renewed, and the layout supports comfortable liveaboard conditions.

Navigation and propulsion systems have been substantially upgraded. A Raymarine Axiom chartplotter and serviced Raymarine autopilot manage passage-making, while a new asymmetric spinnaker and new jib enhance sailing performance. Saildrives have been serviced and antifouling renewed. Ground tackle has been upgraded to a 25 kg Rocna anchor with Mantus swivel and new chain.

Electrical systems reflect a modern approach to self-sufficiency. Solar capacity of 800 watts combines with Superwind generation and Victron charge systems to feed a 400Ah lithium house battery. An upgraded inverter and charger provide both 24-volt DC charging from both engines and galvanic isolation. Deck work includes a new sail stack pack, replaced forward trampoline, and refreshed non-skid finished in KiwiGrip.
