This 1995 Freedom 35 is a fiberglass sloop designed for serious cruising. She features a wing keel for stability and maneuverability, paired with a free-standing carbon fiber mast and fractional rig. All halyards and sheets lead to the cockpit, and an electric Harken winch provides extra power for sail handling. A 27-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine backs up the sailplan, delivering a hull speed of 7.3 knots.
The layout includes two cabins, a galley, and a single head with stall shower. A port settee slides out to create an additional berth. Solar panels, a 2000-watt inverter, and house batteries support extended cruising, while a 40-amp battery charger and 30-amp shore power connection offer flexible charging options. Storage is abundant throughout.
Navigation and communication systems include a Garmin GPSmap chartplotter, Garmin radar, Garmin wind and depth instruments, and a VHF radio with helm control. Raymarine autopilot handles long passages. A Sony stereo serves both the salon and cockpit.
The boat carries substantial ground tackle—a 33-pound Rocna primary anchor with chain and rode, plus a Fluke folding secondary. A Maxprop adjustable three-blade propeller, boom brake, and sugar scoop swim platform with boarding ladder complete the inventory. A portable air conditioning unit and Jabsco electric toilet (fresh or raw water flush) add comfort. Stainless steel dinghy davits are fitted aft. Batteries were replaced in December 2025.
