This 1995 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 45.1 is a proven cruising design from the Philip Briand partnership, representing one of over 600 units built. The fiberglass hull is reinforced with Kevlar and features comprehensive thermal and acoustic insulation. A single 60 hp Yammer diesel engine provides good fuel range, and the boat offers substantial autonomy for water and electrical systems as well.
The four-cabin, two-head layout accommodates cruising families or larger groups. The boat has been thoroughly modernized throughout, with extensive refits completed across 2019 to 2025 that include a full engine overhaul in 2019 with cylinder head work, valve replacement, and cooler servicing, plus a comprehensive rerig in 2025 with new standing rigging, lower spreaders, and running rigging. Electrical systems have been upgraded with new wiring, navigation lights, deck lighting, and a new radar reflector and Windex vane.
Navigation and safety equipment reflects recent investment: a Garmin GPSMAP 723 GPS plotter on the chart table, a Simrad SA70 GMDSS radar transponder, an Em-trak B953 AIS unit, and a 12-person Lalizas ISO 9650 liferaft. In 2025, new service batteries and starter battery were installed, along with new Flexiteek covering on the cockpit and swim platform. The boat carries new Elite sails with sandwich construction and triradial cut, including roller-furling mainsail and jib.
Owned by its second proprietor since February 2003, the yacht has seen regular cruising in Valencia and the Balearic Islands, with annual antifouling and engine service maintained through June 2025. Systems throughout—plumbing, heating, fresh water—have been refreshed as part of ongoing updates.
