This 1995 Post 50 Convertible is a purpose-built fishing yacht developed through decades of tournament use and refinement. Powered by twin MAN diesel engines producing 1,640 horsepower combined, the boat carries a fiberglass hull with a Vinylester resin barrier, solid glass construction cored with Divinycell above the waterline, and wooden engine beds encapsulated in fiberglass to reduce noise and vibration. The soft-riding hull features sharp bow entry and increased deadrise for stability and efficiency.
The cockpit is engineered for serious fishing, with a reinforced fiberglass sole designed to support large fighting chairs and finished with non-skid surface. Molded fiberglass storage cabinets, a full rigging station with sink, top-loading refrigerator and freezer, walk-through transom door with gate, and gel-coated fish wells keep gear organized and accessible. The engine room is fully gel-coated with ample lighting and space for routine maintenance of vital components, with walk-in access directly from the cockpit.
The bridge features wrap-around lounge seating forward and to port with rod storage below, scuppered stowage areas forward and beneath the console, and full instrumentation including bilge blower and pump monitoring, Halon system, and generator. The helm offers 360-degree visibility. Three cabins sleep the crew and guests: the master has a queen walk-around berth with en-suite head and shower, and two guest cabins with bunk arrangements. The salon includes an entertainment center with 26-inch television, AM-FM stereo, and CD player, along with L-shaped dinette and lounge seating. The galley features Corian countertops, two-burner electric range, microwave-convection oven, and full-size refrigerator-freezer. Two heads serve the accommodations.
