The 1995 St. Francis 43 is a fiberglass catamaran designed for offshore cruising. Built in South Africa, she measures 43 feet long with a 23.58-foot beam. The hull and decks are solid fiberglass, recently painted, with bottom paint applied in 2024. Twin Yanmar diesel engines have been converted from sail drives to direct drive with hydraulic transmissions, stainless steel shafts, and 17-inch folding propellers; both engines run strong.
The boat carries substantial electronics and power systems: 10 solar panels and a wind generator feed dual inverters producing 3500 watts total. Navigation equipment includes an Icom fixed-mount VHF, Garmin handheld VHF, Furuno radar, AIS receiver, Icom SSB marine receiver, Raymarine ST6000 autopilot, and Raymarine ST60 wind instrument. A Spectra watermaker provides freshwater generation. The standing and running rigging are in very good condition, with a survey completed in 2021.
Interior layout comprises three cabins and two heads, with a spacious salon that includes a navigation station, dining table, and sofa. The galley features a Force 10 three-burner propane stove and oven, Isotherm refrigerator/freezer, separate Minus 40 freezer, and Hamilton Beach microwave. Storage is ample throughout. A 43-inch television and cabinetry complete the spaces. The cockpit and swim platform have been upgraded with SeaDek flooring.
The hull structure and mechanical systems are sound. Interior cosmetic finishes would benefit from updating. A Mantus primary anchor with rode is fitted. The boat is ready for immediate use.
